Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Aron Kapelyus reveal a mixed but largely positive experience with well-maintained cleanliness and attentive supers praised for keeping properties safe and clean. Management responsiveness is inconsistent, with some buildings experiencing slow or unhelpful communication, especially concerning elevator maintenance, pest control, and noise issues. Noise levels and neighbor behavior vary across buildings, with some residents mentioning thin walls and loud neighbors. Amenities such as gyms and rooftops are appreciated, though equipment upkeep sometimes falls short. Rent increases and poor handling of rent-stabilized units have been concerns. Overall, expect capable on-site staff but occasional challenges with management efficiency and building upkeep.

4 OK years living there, good until price became not worth it

Pros

AMAZING super, truly he made living there feel safe, clean, and was always around the property working

Cons

Lots of good people moved out and their units were filled with noisy and rude neighbors. Walls are super thin to the point we would hear our nextdoor neighbor cough or even loudly sigh. Insullation is no good, the minute you turn off the heater it would quickly get cold again. Tiny space. Used to have a good view but tall buildings built nearby took that away.

Advice to the owners

Take more action with loud neighbors. Despite constant emails and multiple calls to 311 about neighbors that wouldn't ever talk to us to try and reach a compromise and instead would play loud bass heavy music until the early morning, management did nothing. And continue to raise our rent. We were great tenants and would've stayed longer if we recieved help in dealing with said neighbors. Instead, nothing and so we left.
