Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Buildings managed by Joseph Rutigliano are generally well-maintained with responsive and attentive management. Tenants appreciate the cleanliness, pest control, and security, highlighting no major pest issues and prompt maintenance responses. Common amenities like laundry facilities and renovated units add to the appeal. However, some buildings, especially older ones, show minor drawbacks such as outdated kitchens, insufficient lighting, and occasional noise from neighbors or nearby areas. Issues like unlocked entrances in historic buildings and an unresponsive in-building superintendent were noted, but the landlord's overall communication remains strong, ensuring resident concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

Pros

Cons

common areas could be slightly better maintained

Nice building, peaceful

Pros

My unit was renovated and nice. Price at the time (2019) felt reasonable for the space I got, even though bedroom was small. My unit faced the back of building so it was quiet. Knew the neighbor directly across from us so that was nice. Ended up leaving early mid covid, but if not for the pandemic would have been happy to stay. Building stairs and hallway was always clean. I am typically scared of bugs so I was very happy to have never seen any bug, roach, or mouse. Felt very safe and secure in this building

Cons

Steep stairs & we were on a higher floor walkup
