Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.
Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Emanuel Cherney reveal a mix of experiences. Many praise well-maintained, clean buildings in desirable Manhattan locations with friendly neighbors, responsive supers, and quiet environments. However, there are significant concerns about management responsiveness—some describe it as slow or unhelpful, especially dealing with maintenance, pest control, and communication. Several buildings, notably at 7 West 87 Street and 130 East 93 Street, suffer from chronic pest issues, elevator malfunctions, and poor upkeep, leading to strong renter dissatisfaction. Rent increases and occasional harsh management practices also detract from tenant satisfaction. Overall, management is uneven: some properties are well cared for, while others face persistent operational challenges.

Great building, great neighborhood
Pros
Beautiful brownstone on a quiet block near the train station. Well-maintained, never seen a pest (top floor). In-unit dishwasher, in a duplex and has a balcony . So much natural light.
