Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 209 WEST 109 STREET highlight mixed experiences. The building's advantageous proximity to amenities, parks, and Columbia University is noted. However, severe issues like pest infestations involving rats, roaches, and unaddressed maintenance problems persist. Tenant complaints range from ineffective management to unclean common areas, with reports of abusive neighbors and disruptive staff. While some appreciate the building's location and friendly personnel, the reoccurring pest problems and maintenance deficiencies are major concerns. Responsive building but ongoing pest problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, size and pricing. Relatively responsive management.
Cons:
Ongoing problem with cockroaches. While management would send pest control when requested, the problem would often reoccur every fee months as it seemed to be a building wide problem.
Advice to owner:
Maintain cleaner building and address pest issue more thoroughly
