Nice area, mostly clean, and open apartment layout. Management more responsive after change of ownership

Slow to fix things, bad ventilation in the kitchen, oven didn’t work properly

The layout is great along with the views of the skyline.
Cons
Super does not live in the building and is too busy to fix things and pretends he doesn’t know about issues put in the portal to get fixed. No response to problems. No heat at times. Radiator hissing, banging and smells. Lack of communication from management and super. Lots of trash in the front side of the building for months. No Covid cleaning or reduction in rent to accommodate lack of heat/hot water.
Advice to the owners
There is a law of warranty of habitability-abide by this law. No one should ever be without hot water and is the law to have it for 365 days of the year. Communicate with tenants about existing problems or maintenance issues. Fix things that need to be fixed and let tenants know when this could be scheduled.
