What does “best-cleanliness” mean on Openigloo?

It’s a filter based on Openigloo signals from tenant-reported experiences and review patterns related to cleanliness. Because conditions can change, use it to narrow down, then confirm specifics with the building.

How does the R-train filter work for Midtown buildings?

It filters for buildings near the R train in Midtown so you can focus on commute-friendly options. You’ll still want to verify the exact walking route and accessibility for your routine.

Are these cleanliness ratings guaranteed at move-in?

No. Cleanliness can vary by time, staff, and unit-specific factors. The filter helps you start with stronger candidates, but you should ask about current maintenance practices before signing.

What should I ask the building about cleanliness during a tour?

Ask about cleaning schedules for lobbies and shared areas, how trash/recycling rooms are managed, how odors or spills are handled, and whether there are recent changes to maintenance staffing or processes.

Does “near the R train” mean the building is exactly beside a station?

Not necessarily. The filter targets buildings within a practical proximity to the R train, but distance and walk quality can vary. Confirm the route at the times you’d typically travel.

Are there any data delays or gaps I should know about?

Openigloo reflects what renters share and what’s captured in building-related signals; like any housing search data, it may lag real-world conditions. Treat it as a starting point and confirm directly with the building team.

What to check before choosing a building highly rated for cleanliness near the R train in Midtown

Expect buildings selected using Openigloo’s best-cleanliness signals; filter matches still vary by unit and time, so confirm for your specific floor and layout.
Check how the building describes day-to-day maintenance (common areas, trash rooms, mail/package areas) and ask whether cleaning schedules change on weekends/holidays.
Use the R-train filter as a commute check, then confirm the exact walking route, elevator/stairs access, and any street-level construction that could affect your walk time.
Review lease terms and move-in requirements like deposits, move-in/out hours, and any cleaning-related policies in the building’s rules.
If you’re comparing multiple buildings, cross-check recurring themes in tenant Q&A (odor, pests, trash handling, common-area upkeep) rather than a single comment.
