What does the “best-heat” filter mean on Openigloo?

It’s a filter built from renter-reported signals about heating reliability. The goal is to narrow to buildings where tenants flagged heat performance as a strong point.

How many buildings match the Myrtle-Willoughby Avs + best-heat filters?

There are 56+ buildings currently matching this page scope and filter pair.

Does a high “heat” rating guarantee my unit will stay warm all winter?

No. Ratings are based on prior renter signals, but conditions can vary by unit, floor, and maintenance timing. Still ask the building directly and confirm heat inclusion and how issues are handled.

What should I ask during a tour about heat?

Ask whether heat is included in the rent, how controls work in that specific unit, typical response time for heat-related complaints, and whether the building has had recent heating complaints.

Are there any fees or lease terms I should watch related to utilities and heating?

Yes. Even if a building is strong on heat, you should verify whether heat is included and review any utility arrangements (and deposits/fees) in the lease before signing.

Where does Openigloo information come from?

Openigloo combines renter feedback and other building-page signals to help you compare buildings. Use it to shortlist, then validate key details with the building management for your specific unit.

Look for lease and cost details: confirm whether heat is included in the rent, and verify any separate charges for utilities.
Check past maintenance patterns in the building’s page (including reported issues and response times) before you commit.
