Worst management company and maintenance

Pros

- Location - opposite Brooklyn Library, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza - Laundry in building (though often 1 or 2 machines will be broken) - Elevator - though breaks down about once every 2 months

Cons

- Constant rent increases: last year's rent increase was over 20% this year's was over 12% even though Management hasn't provided anything to warrant these increases. - Pine Management is the worst management company. They are a faceless corporation that doesn't care about its tenants. The person responsible for rental increases copy and pastes responses to deny your request. They don't do timely repairs and leave leaks unfixed for 1+ years - Constant package theft with no help from management to fix the issue. - Front door is constantly broken allowing people to walk straight in - Homeless people sometimes sleep in the stairwells - Lack of heating during winter I do not recommend living here. It's not worth it.

Advice to the owners

None. They don't care about their tenants

Nice place but bugs

Pros

The storage space in this place is incredible. The apartments and building have a nice look to them it doesn't look run down at all. The neighbors are very nice and respectful in my experiences with them.

Cons

From the day we moved in there have been roaches everywhere. The exterminator comes but only if you sign up and you have to just be available every first Wednesday of the month 3-8 pm ish. For people who don't work a 9-5 this is particularly difficult. The trash situation is less than wonderful. When it gets taken care of quickly it's fine but if it goes one day there are trash piles all over the back area where the bins are and it attracts mice/rats. The laundry situation is fine but there are only 4 washers and dryers so sometimes It's hard to get in but that isn't too bad.
