Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for Avraham Garbo's buildings reveal a mixed management track record. Positive aspects include generally clean apartments, responsive management in some locations, well-functioning heating, and friendly neighbors, especially at the 209 West 135 Street property in Manhattan, which tenants find safe and well-located. However, several buildings, notably at 558 Kosciuszko Street and 1648 Norman Street, suffer from poor cleanliness, pest issues, persistent maintenance delays, broken security features, and slow or unresponsive management. Garbage management and building upkeep are inconsistent across properties. Tenants urge improvements in maintenance timeliness, pest control, security enhancements, and cleanliness to elevate living standards.

Mostly positive, one maintenance issue took too long

Pros

I've been here five months and enjoyed it for the most part. Clean apartment, friendly building, solid location.

Cons

My one frustration was a shower issue that took almost a week to fully resolve - it went through a few rounds of "we'll send someone" before it was actually fixed properly. Once it was sorted, it was done well. But the timeline was frustrating. Everything else has been handled faster and I'd still recommend Outpost for flexible housing.

Upper Manhattan House

Pros

This is the second Outpost house I’ve stayed in. I had a good experience with them before as well. The layout here is very well thought out, I liked my room, and the people were normal, which is all I really need. Overall, it served its purpose well as a temporary and flexible living solution in NYC.
