Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback on Avraham Garbo's buildings reveals a mixed management pattern. In well-maintained buildings like 209 West 135 Street, tenants commonly praise responsive management, cleanliness, safety, and community friendliness, although occasional delays in maintenance and minor infrastructure updates are noted. Issues such as inconsistent internet and lack of amenities like gyms appear as minor complaints. Contrastingly, properties like 558 Kosciuszko Street and 1648 Norman Street face frequent criticisms for poor maintenance, pest problems, unresolved repairs, security concerns, and unresponsive management. Garbage management and common area upkeep are inconsistent across locations. Overall, expect proactive management in prime buildings but potentially slow responses and neglect in others.

Reviews

Nice place, Wi-Fi could be stronger

Pros

Generally happy with my stay. The apartment is in great condition, the building is quiet, and the team responds to tickets promptly. Everything else - location, cleanliness, staff - has been genuinely good.

Cons

The one ongoing issue is internet - it's inconsistent in my room and occasionally cuts out entirely. I've raised it and Outpost is looking into it. Not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning if you're planning to work from home.

Mostly positive, one maintenance issue took too long

Pros

I've been here five months and enjoyed it for the most part. Clean apartment, friendly building, solid location.

Cons

My one frustration was a shower issue that took almost a week to fully resolve - it went through a few rounds of "we'll send someone" before it was actually fixed properly. Once it was sorted, it was done well. But the timeline was frustrating. Everything else has been handled faster and I'd still recommend Outpost for flexible housing.
