What does “best-heat” mean on Openigloo?

It’s a building-level filter based on Openigloo’s heat-focused signals from rated buildings and tenant-reported experience. Use it to shortlist buildings, then confirm specifics with the building directly.

How does the Q59-bus filter work?

The Q59-bus filter scopes buildings by their proximity to the Q59 route so you can focus on housing near your commute line. Still, walking time and stop choice can change the experience.

What should I ask the building about heat before signing?

Ask how heat is regulated, how quickly maintenance responds during cold snaps, whether radiators/thermostats are maintained proactively, and what documentation they require for any heat-related requests.

Do Openigloo heat ratings guarantee heat will be adequate in my unit?

No. Ratings and tenant Q&A help you compare buildings, but individual apartments can differ. Confirm how your unit’s system works and how issues are handled.

Are there fees or costs tied to heat or utilities?

Costs depend on the lease (for example, whether utilities are tenant-paid or included). Verify the full monthly utility picture with the building or leasing office.

How current are the signals and Q&A?

Signals reflect Openigloo data available as of the snapshot date, but conditions can change. Prioritize the most recent tenant Q&A and ask what improvements were made after any negative reports.

Where can I find the most recent tenant experience about heat?

Open each building to review the latest tenant Q&A and related building details. Then follow up with the building staff using the specific questions you see in the comments.
