What to check before choosing a building highly rated for trash management near transit in Washington Heights

Use the “near-transit” filter to narrow to buildings convenient to your commute, then open each building to confirm exact walk times during the hours you’ll travel.
For “best-trash-management,” review the notes tied to trash/recycling handling and ask how overflow is handled when curb pickup is delayed.
Before applying, confirm the building’s trash-room or chute rules (hours, bag limits, where recyclables go) and whether there are any tenant move-in requirements.
Check whether trash handling affects common areas: ask about odor/cleaning routines, pest-control practices, and who to contact for issues.
Since trash-management quality can change with staffing and vendors, use the most recent building information and tenant Q&A to validate current conditions.
