What does the “best-heat” filter mean on Openigloo?

It’s a building-level filter based on heat performance signals reflected in the building’s Openigloo data (including tenant feedback where available). Use it as a starting point, then verify specifics with the building directly.

How does the Q55 bus part of the search work?

It narrows eligible buildings to ones located near the Q55 bus corridor using the page’s Q55-bus filter. You can then compare multiple highly rated buildings within that area.

Are these buildings guaranteed to have strong heat all the time?

No. Ratings and feedback help you identify patterns, but real conditions can change with season, staffing, and building maintenance. Confirm current heat practices with management before signing.

What should I ask the building before I move in?

Ask about thermostat controls, radiator/heat maintenance schedules, how quickly issues are addressed, and whether heat varies by unit type or floor.

Does the filter consider whether heat is included in rent?

The filter focuses on heat-related performance signals. You should still confirm whether heat is included and how utilities are billed so you can compare the full monthly cost.

How current are the ratings and signals?

Openigloo data reflects the latest snapshot available for this page. Heat questions are time-sensitive, so use tenant Q&A and then ask the building for the most recent confirmation.

Is there a way to use tenant Q&A to sanity-check the heat rating?

Yes. Look for patterns in recent mentions of warmth consistency, response time, and whether problems were resolved. If the comments are vague or old, follow up with management directly.
